Laboratory Positions
JOB TITLE: Medical Technologist
DEPARTMENT: Laboratory- Microbiology Dept.
STATUS: 2/5 SHIFT: weekdays/ weekends
OVERVIEW: Responsible for performing technological functions related to processing microbiology specimens.
PRINCIPAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Must have Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology/ Biological Sciences with completion of an accredited internship.
• NYS-DOE Technologist License.
• Minimum of 2 years experience as a Microbiologist.
• Must be able to do addition, subtraction, multiplication, division using percentages and decimals.
• Must demonstrate ability to organize and maintain records, repor ts and statistical data.
• Must interact successfully with patients, visitors, physicians, nurses, lab Staff and other staff.
