Job Title: Mental Health Worker
Department: Nursing West 3
Status: Full Time
Shift: 3pm to 11pm
Overview: Providing care for patients following policy & procedures.
Principal Requirements:
H.S. Graduate or equivalent with clinical patient care experience or Graduate of Nurse Assistant training program, (CNA).
Ability to read, write and speak English.
Must be able to interact successfully with patients, visitors, and staff.
Weekend rotation required.
Must be able to multi-task.
Must be able to organize work and document accurately on flow sheets.
Must be observant of patient condition and able to report observations to nurse.
Must be able to turn; position and transfer patients.
Experience in psychiatric setting strongly preferred.
Must be able to interact with potentially violent patients.
