Anxiety and Depression Screenings
Long Beach Medical Center's Counseling Center offers a free, walk-in
screening for persons experiencing anxiety and/or depression.
The screenings are held weekly each Wednesdays from 2:00 - 3:00
p.m. Pre-registration is not required. For more information, call

Lamaze
Classes
Long Beach Medical Center offers Lamaze childbirth preparation
classes for expectant parents. Course can be completed in one
full day or two half-day sessions. The program includes topics
such as relaxation techniques and what to expect during labor
and delivery and is facilitated by a Certified Midwife. Women
should be between 32 and 35 weeks of pregnancy. Cost is $100 per
couple and classes are now forming. For specific dates, please

Project Liberty
Long Beach Medical Center's Project Liberty Program offers free,
confidential support, education and referral to anyone having
difficulty coping with the tragic events of September 11th. Long
Beach Medical Center counselors will assist individuals, families,
groups and organizations, helping them work through the various
emotional and/or physical reactions of 9/11. For individual or

Superbowl
Sunday Pancake Breakfast to benefit Long Beach Medical Center
The Long Beach Kiwanis Club will host their annual SuperBowl Sunday
Pancake Breakfast to benefit Long Beach Medical Center on Sunday,
January 26, 2003 from 9 a.m. to 12 noon in the Hospital Cafeteria,
455 E. Bay Drive, Long Beach. Cost is $5.00 for adults and $2.00
