Medical Students

Long Beach Medical Center, first chartered in 1922, is a 403 bed health care institution comprising 203 acute care beds and 200 long-term care beds.

We are situated on a magnificent barrier beach island that has more than three miles of white, sandy beach within walking distance of the hospital.

An affiliate of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine, Lake Eerie College of Osteopathic Medicine, Ross University and The American University in Antigua, and a member of the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine Education Consortium, we are fully approved by the American Osteopathic Association for 14 rotating osteopathic interns as well as 14 family practice osteopathic residents and 6 Osteopathic Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Residents.

We are committed to providing a quality education to all medical students.  We provide clinical clerkships for third and fourth year medical students.
