Nursing at Long Beach Medical Center

Welcome and thank you for visiting “Nursing Opportunities” at the Long Beach Medical Center (“LBMC”) website.  Whether you are new to the field or an experienced candidate looking for a change, it is my belief that LBMC has much to offer as a place to practice your life’s work.

Long Beach Medical Center includes a 162-bed community teaching hospital, a 200-bed sub-acute and skilled nursing facility (the Komanoff Center for Geriatric and Rehabilitative Medicine), a Medicare-Certified Home Health Agency and Long Term Home Health Care Program as well as and numerous outpatient services.  Our nursing professionals are dedicated to providing compassionate patient care to our community. Here, people truly support each other.  Our warm and comfortable work setting is affirmed by the fact that almost 50% of the staff has been with LBMC for more than ten years.  It’s all part of our exceptional passion for healing and LBMC’s tradition of caring as reflected by ongoing efforts to seek new and challenging health professionals like yourself to best service the evolving needs of our community.

The requirements to join our team are selective and our core values of  “Care, Competence, Compassion ” are reflected in our staff.  If you feel that LBMC is the “right fit” for you, please come in and talk to our Nurse Recruiter, meet the Nurse Managers or mingle with our staff.

To obtain additional information about specific openings at LBMC, click on the “current employment opportunities” button, call Lisa Safon at (516-897-6895) or email us at nursing@lbmc.org.  You may fill out an online application or mail your resume to Human Resources, Long Beach Medical Center, 455 East Bay Drive, Long Beach, NY 11561.
