Who we are...
Since 1970, The Counseling Center has been helping individuals and families seeking relief from mental illness and personal and family problems. We are dedicated to providing quality mental health services as part of Long Beach Medical Center's continuum of inpatient and outpatient psychiatric servics.
The Counseling Center's staff includes an interdisciplinary team of mental health professionals including psychiatrists, psychiatric nurse practitioner, psychiatric social workers and case managers. All professional staff meet New York State licensing or certification requirements in their areas of specialization

Application Process...
An application must be completed prior to receiving services. Your first appointment at time of
application.
Fees for services...
We accept Medicaid, Medicare and most health insurances. We will verify your insurance coverage at the
time of application.
A sliding fee scale, based on family size and income, is available for individuals without insurance. No
one is denied help because of inability to pay.
